Our Healthy Herbal Meadow Nuts are made from the finest traditional grasses, herbs and wildflowers, which are grown under Higher Level Stewardship in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The meadows consist of primarily traditional meadow grasses. No modern Hybrid Ryegrasses have been sown in these meadows.

No chemical fertilisers are used on any grassland on the farm and the Healthy Herbal Meadow Nuts are tested pesticide and herbicide free. The meadows are allowed to grow to a mature stage (for lower sugar, higher fibre content) and unlike most grass production farms where the grass is cut continuously throughout the growing season, the meadows are cut only once per year. After harvesting, the meadows are sheep grazed and then rested. This produces a very low sugar, low starch, low nitrate, low protein, high fibre grass nut with all the benefits of a diverse herbal meadow.
